Hello everyone, welcome to todays post. I noticed that I had a few small spots coming out, but I managed to keep it under control. I will be sharing my pH balancing and gentle exfoliating routine, what I did to help treat the spots and minimise further growth in size.

I normally care for my skin daily and use BHA’s a couple times a week, which has transformed my skin and I rarely do breakout. However, I try not to over use BHA’s so my skin doesn’t become reliant. 

And so when I have not been eating well or when I am on my period, and get some breakouts, I prefer to avoid chemical exfoliation and go for this routine that focuses more on reseting with pH balancing and a gentle exfoliation. I will be using Korean skincare products as these are my go to as they cover a lot of my skin care concerns. 

1. Cleanse – COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser

Firstly I will use the Cosrx low ph cleanser. This is gentle but very effective in pH balancing and works as an anti acne cleanser. It is important to maintain a good skin barrier, an acid mantle that prevents infection and retains moisture. When skin is working on the right ph number it combats harmful bacteria; the types that could grow, triggering inflammation and skin conditions, such as acne. 

2. Exfoliate – Skinfood Black Sugar Mask

Next I while my face is still wet I will use this black sugar scrub mask. It has a lot of vitamins and minerals, it helps clear dead skin and makes my skin look fresh when it feels dull. Since I am getting texture on my skin from the break out this physical exfoliators helps smooth out my skin. The scrub is not rough or harsh on the skin. I apply it to wet skin, message for awhile; then either wash it off right away or wait 5 minutes.

3. Toner – Dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner

This toner is definitely and ideal product, its effective for pH balancing, its very moisturising, great for soothing irritated skin and its vegan. The right ph numbers prevents dryness, irritation and redness, the corners that come with breakouts.  Before I start applying my other products I use this toner to once again create the environment that will maximise my skincare.

4. Essence – COSRX Advanced Snail  96 Mucin Power

After I use this cosrx snail essence. Snail mucin is a great ingredient to have in a product and in terms of acne it can help with battling it as well as fading dark spots and scars.  This essence focuses on keeping moisture in the skin, it improves my complexion, and my skin feels soft, smooth and looks alive with a healthy glow.

5. Moisturiser – COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask

I am using this night mask as a moisturiser because it is very light. I don’t normally use it in the morning, but in contains 68.9% rice extract, which has an anti-inflammatory and calming effect on skin. It is nourishing my skin and good for hydration, keeping skin moisturised. 

6. Sunscreen – Etude Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sun Milk SPF 50+ PA+++ 

Finally, complete every morning skincare routine with sunscreen as the last step. Without sunscreen, everything you have done is basically pointless. I have been using this sunrise mild for almost a year now, I have a video talking all about it and I am still satisfied with this product as I gives me the protection I need and the difference in the health of my skin is noticeable.
