Night Routine to get Smooth Hydrated Glowing Skin – CeraVe PM Facial Lotion Garnier Rose Water 2021

Hello everyone, welcome to today’s skincare video. In this routine I will be going through my updated night time skincare, what I do to wake up with healthy radiant skin. The products in this routine have been carefully selected based on some of the key ingredients in the formulas that I like.

I have been coming up with routines to target specific concerns such as my previous skincare video where I focused on pH balancing.  And looking at ingredients lists helps me identify what I need to get the results I want. In this video I share how I am keeping my skin hydrated and maintaining a good skin barrier.

I will be highlighting ingredients and most of the information I will be sharing can be found on INCIDecoder https://incidecoder.com

Firstly I start with Garnier Micellar Rose Water, double cleansing first with this and then my next cleanser. Micelles act like magnets to remove dirt, oil, makeup and sunscreen in a gentle yet powerful way. The rose water in this gives a relaxing scent and it gets my mind ready to focus on the process of me doing my skincare. One of the key ingredients in this is Arginine, which basically builds skin collagen; so it is keeping me youthful and therefore it is an essential step to maintaining smooth skin.

The next part of this double cleanse is to use the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser. I normally wash my face in the shower at night, this step is done on wet skin but to film I am just showing you how I massage it in.

This is a creamy cleanser that nourishes the skin and is good for acne as it rids your skin of bacteria and impurities without stripping skin from moisture. This product can be used daily and also good for sensitive skin as it does not irritate skin. It contains 3 Ceramides and Hyaluronic acid to help restore the skin’s moisture barrier and provide hydration. Hyaluronic acid is a Natural Moisturizing Factor that helps skin absorb water, keeping skin hydrated. Ceramides are important SC lipids needed in having a healthy skin barrier.

When I saw this CeraVe product I did not know what ceremides were and I had heard of hyaluronic acid but I could not remember what it did. So I searched up this product on INCIDecoder and it explained everything for me. I defiantly recommend using this website as the layout is very nice, it highlights the ingredients, tells you what it does for the skin and includes images. I really enjoy using it as I feel the information is broken down really well and it has helped be get more specific about what I buy making me come up with skin care routines that are effective.

After I come out of the shower I apply my Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, which is ideal for those with oily skin. It is a leave-on exfoliant: unclogs pores and improves skin tone to get smooth radiant skin by brightening and evening out skin tone. The key ingredient is Salicylic Acid, an exfoliant that helps to lift off dead skin cells to make skin more fresh and smooth, it is an anti inflammatory agent fighting against acne and soothes helping lightening discomfort of the skin.

Next I go in with Dear, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner. This toner is definitely and ideal product, its effective for pH balancing, its very moisturising, great for soothing irritated skin and its vegan. I’ve spoken in my previous videos about how the right ph numbers prevents dryness, irritation and redness. So before I start applying my other products I use this toner to once again create the environment that will maximise my skincare. But now I have also learnt about the Licorice Root ingredient and how it helps with skin brightening and it’s anti-inflammatory the reasons why I like this product. I understand better what my skin was responding to.

After that I use COSRX Advanced Snail  96 Mucin Power. Snail mucin is a great ingredient to have in a product it repairs and hydrates the skin. In terms of acne it can help with battling it as well as fading dark spots and scars. It has Arginine a key ingredient that is a skin hydrator, that helps bring water to the skin and binds it so the skin absorbs water. This essence focuses on keeping moisture in the skin, it improves my complexion, and my skin feels soft, smooth and looks alive with a healthy glow.

Following that I take a small amount of Shea Butter and apply that to my face. Shea Butter is a natural product that soothes skin irritations, moisturizes dry skin, boosts collagen production, fades scars and stretch marks. I started using this to help with the scar on my face and even though it was already a healed scar over the years it has faded a little. I also like shea butter as it makes skin soft and smooth, without clogging pores so it is a my first choice as a moisturiser.

Finally I will use the CeraVe PM Facial Moisturising Lotion. I have been searching for a good night cream and I bought this because it contains Niacinamide. This is an oil-free, non-comedogenic formula that can hydrate and calm the skin while helping to restore the skin’s natural barrier. Non-comedogenic is a product or ingredient that is less likely to clog your pores. Niacinamide is a skin brightening ingredient, good for getting hyperpigmentation to disappear; so a product that helps my uneven skin tone, brightening for an improved overall complexion.

This is the next day and I have been awake for a few hours and not done anything to my face. Normally when I wake up I have dry patched, my skin feels a little rough and my skin looks dull. However, now that I have been using some of these products for a while I am seeing a significant change. I can start to finally singing I woke up like this, I am defiantly on the right path to flawless with this routine.

So that is the end of for this routine. Thank you so much for reading this post. If you have any questions or any suggestions for routines you would like to see in the future leave a comment. All the products are listed in the description. If you enjoyed this video remember to like and subscribe  so I know what to keep posting. Byeeeee
