Hello everyone, welcome to today’s skincare video. I will be showing you a minimal K-Beauty Routine for sensitive skin. I always say a basic skin care routine can transform your skin. Cleansing, moisturising and sunscreen should be your foundation; then everything else you add such as toner, essence and mask work better. Today I am highlighting 4 skincare basic products that are gentle and non irritating.
First I start with the Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser
Cleanser checklist: Cleans effectively, Clears pores & Low pH
When deciding on a cleanser and if it’s right for you, think about how well it cleans and removes dirt, makeup, sunscreen or any other impurities on skin; as well as if it clears your pores, and has a low pH number.
This Rovectin Cleanser is a gentle, low-pH, hydrating cleanser that works well without stripping your skin of its protective moisture barrier. It contains Glycerin is a natural hypoallergenic agent that absorbs and retains moisture from the air to keep the skin toned and hydrated, so it is a good cleanser for those worried about allergic reactions. There is also a a natural coconut oil derivative that maintains pH levels and serves as an alkaline pH buffer agent. This is important as when skin is working on the right pH number it combats harmful bacteria; the types that could grow, triggering inflammation and skin conditions, such as acne.
This is a good product for sensitive skin because it is Hypoallergenic, toxin-free, and cruelty-free 100% free from paraben, artificial colorants, artificial fragrances, mineral oil, and steroids.
Next I use the Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner
This is an ideal product to prepare the skin. Before I start applying my other products I use this toner to create the environment that will maximise my skincare.
The toner contains 93% Milk Vetch Root Extract loaded with Betaine that gently helps hydrate skin and maintain moisture, as well as its anti-aging benefits of preventing wrinkles. There are also antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and nutrient-boosting properties of the root extract. The toner absorbs into the skin easily leaving it intensely hydrated, feeling smooth and looking healthy.
This is a good product for sensitive skin because of the minimal ingredients list. There are only 7 ingredients in the formula and they are all plant based with medicinal benefits. It is vegan, free from artificial fragrances, dyes, colours and parabens.
After I apply the ÍUNIK Centella Calming Gel Cream
Moisturiser checklist: Lightweight, Not greasy & Long lasting
The moisturiser contains 70% Centella Asiatica and 10% Tea Tree Water, formulated to calm and hydrate troubled skin as well as reduce irritation, redness and treat blemishes, acne and inflammation. There is also Niacinamide and Adenosine that helps brighten skin tone and combat the early signs of ageing.
I think the moisturiser works well for oily and combination skin types. It is soothing and refreshing because of the gel texture and it is light weight with no greasy residue.
This is a good product for sensitive skin because the Centella has antioxidant properties that soothes stressed and irritated skin. I reach for this product mainly on hot summer days as the Centella acts as an extra layer to protect the skin barrier from sun damage.
Lastly I use the MISSHA All-Around Safe Block Essence Sun SPF45 PA+++
Sunscreen checklist: UVA & UVB protection, No white cast, Not Greasy & No Breakouts from it
This MISSHA sunscreen is a broad spectrum chemical sunscreen SPF45 and PA+++ providing high UVA and UVB protection. UVB rays cause sunburn, but UVA rays can penetrate the deeper layers of our skin, creating sun damage and ageing. And that is why you need a sunscreen that offers both forms of protection. Adding sunscreen into my skincare routine helped improve my uneven skin tone from sun damage.
This sunscreen has a lovely texture, very moisturising and not greasy or sticky; blends into the skin effortlessly with no white cast. I am comfortable enough to wear this sunscreen everyday. I haven’t experienced any skin irritation or acne breakouts from this product so it has quickly became a favourite.
This product is good for sensitive skin because it contains soothing ingredients like aloe, cucumber, liquorice and witch hazel, and it is great at keeping skin hydrated and protected against environmental stresses.
So that is the end of the routine. These products have amazing ingredients and are great skin care basics. I have a growing interest in Korean skincare and I have been slowly getting products with the idea of having them as building blocks to help me maintain a minimal yet effective skincare routine.
