Affordable Hydrating Skincare Routine £50 💸 – La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sun Cream Simple Water Boost

Hello everyone, welcome to today’s skincare video. In this routine I will be going through an affordable drugstore skincare routine for under £50.

A basic skin care routine can transform your skin, it is cleansing, moisturising and sunscreen; when you follow these 3 steps and use good products you have a great foundation for healthy skin. I think there a many good affordable options out there for cleansers, moisturisers and sunscreen, so I defiantly recommend looking at ingredient lists and trying things out to see what works and helps with your skincare concerns.

I start with a double cleansing using the Garnier Micellar Rose Water £6.99

Micelles act like magnets to remove dirt, oil, makeup and sunscreen in a gentle yet powerful way. Rose water is known for its brightening properties to boost your skin’s glow and it has a relaxing scent that gets my mind ready to focus on the process of me doing my skincare. One of the key ingredients in this is Arginine, which basically builds skin collagen; so it is keeping me youthful and therefore it is an essential step to maintaining smooth skin. It’s free of alcohol, helps skin hydration and reducing irritation and inflammation. My skin feels soft, supple, and smooth after use this.

Then I go in with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser £9.49

This is a creamy cleanser that nourishes the skin and is good for acne as it rids your skin of bacteria and impurities without stripping skin from moisture. This product can be used daily and also good for sensitive skin as it does not irritate skin. It contains 3 Ceramides and Hyaluronic acid to help restore the skin’s moisture barrier and provide hydration. Hyaluronic acid is a Natural Moisturizing Factor that helps skin absorb water, keeping skin hydrated. Ceramides are important SC lipids needed in having a healthy skin barrier.

Next I will mix my moisturiser and serum together, I am using the Garnier Rose Soothing Moisturiser £5.99  and Simple Water Boost Hydrating Booster  £6.99

I like the Garnier Rose Soothing Moisturiser because it contains Shea butter as the second ingredient. Shea Butter soothes skin irritations, moisturizes dry skin, boosts collagen production, fades scars and stretch marks. It also contains Arginine good for increasing skin collagen. As well as containing Salicylic Acid a great ingredient for treating problem skin and it can exfoliate skin both on the surface and in the pores.

The Simple Water Boost Hydrating Booster is a water based serum. It can be used alone or can be mixed into your moisturiser. The Booster is a glycerin-based serum, a natural ingredient found in fats in our skin. Glycerin is a humectant, attracting moisture where it is topically applied so maintains the skin’s barrier to harsh weather conditions. It is effective in treating dryness, and leaves a plump appearance to the skin. When I am struggling with dehydration, dryness, and roughness this helps revitalise my skin to become supple and dewy again.

Lastly I apply La Roche-Posay Anthelios Anti-Shine Sun Cream Gel SPF50+ £17.49

This is a Lightweight and non-greasy sunscreen ideal for oily, acne-prone sensitive skin types. It combines chemical UV filters with mattifying ingredient Airlicium – an anti-sweat molecule that can absorb sebum, sweat and oil as well has an anti-shine finish. The sunscreen provides broad spectrum very high UVA/UVB protection. UV radiation is present every day of the year. We need to protect our skin daily from the damaging UV rays by making sure sunscreen is apart of every skincare routine. This sunscreen is mattifying and has an anti-shine finish. Packaged in a sleek and easy-to-use pump form, product wastage is reduced.

Now it is time to add up all the products. I shop at Superdrugs, Boots and Amazon, so all of these products are easily accessible. I usually have products I want to try and wait for sales to purchase them as it’s a good way to save an extra few pounds. I buy most of my products on sale, they were already cheap but I got them for even cheaper! Team save money and wait for sales. However, today I will be adding up their non sale prices.
