Hello everyone, welcome to today’s skincare video. In this routine I will be going through a budget friendly drugstore skincare routine using only Garnier products. Skin care basics are important to maintaining healthy skin, and sometimes simple is best. I think there a many good affordable options out there for cleansers, moisturisers and sunscreen, so I recommend looking at ingredient lists and trying things out things to see what works and helps with your skincare concerns. 

Firstly I start with the Garnier Micellar Rose Water

I have shown this product many times in my various skincare videos, it is an essential.

Micelles act like magnets to remove dirt, oil, makeup and sunscreen in a gentle yet powerful way. The rose water in this gives a relaxing scent and it gets my mind ready to focus on the process of me doing my skincare. One of the key ingredients in this is Arginine, which basically builds skin collagen; so it is keeping me youthful and therefore it is an essential step to maintaining smooth skin.

Next I go in with the Garnier Natural Aloe Extract Gel Wash 

It gently washes, leaving skin feeling hydrated, soft and replenished. Suitable for everyday use and for those with normal to combination sensitive skin as it does not cause any irritation and it is unscented; free from colours or harsh chemicals that can upset skin. The Aloe leaf gives long lasting moisture and hydration to leave skin smooth and refreshed. This is a good cleanser that gets the basic job done

After put on the Garnier Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask Sakura

This Sakura face mask is meant intensely hydrates skin, to improve appearance and get a rosy glow. These moisture bombs are infused with a week’s worth of hydrating serum, so they are prefect to use to see instant results. I also like that there is Hyaluronic acid, a Natural Moisturizing Factor that helps skin absorb water, keeping skin hydrated. 

I added a mask to this routine because sometimes I like and need to slow down and pause. Normally my skincare takes me less than 5 minutes, but when I put a mask on I now tap into the self care aspect rather than just skin maintenance. Spending an extra 15 minutes to get my skin and mind aligned. Today I enjoyed my mask moment while reading.

I then take off the mask and apply the Garnier Rose Soothing Moisturiser

I like the Garnier Rose Soothing Moisturiser because it contains Shea butter as the second ingredient. Shea Butter soothes skin irritations, moisturizes dry skin, boosts collagen production, fades scars and stretch marks. Another the key ingredients in this is Arginine, which builds skin collagen. And it containing Salicylic Acid a great ingredient for treating problem skin and it can exfoliate skin both on the surface and in the pores. 

After I use the Garnier Ambre Solaire Sensitive Advanced Kids Sun Lotion SPF50+

I prefer to use this sunscreen on my body but I wanted to show you that it is also fine to use on the face. It protects against UVB, UVA, as UV radiation is present every day of the year. We need to protect our skin daily from the damaging UV rays by making sure sunscreen is apart of every skincare routine. UVB rays cause sunburn, but UVA rays can penetrate the deeper layers of our skin, creating sun damage and ageing. And that is why you need a sunscreen that offers both forms of protection. This is a good safe option sunscreen as it is developed for fair, sensitive and sun intolerant skin, so anyone can use it. 

Finally I spray the Garnier Naturals Rose Mist as I wanted to refresh my skin after the sunscreen and get a soft dewy finish. 

So that is the end of the Garnier Routine, I think they are a reliable brand and a good option for skin care basics. All the products I used are formulated with Glycerin, a superstar Humectant that helps your skin to cling and hold onto water keeping it moisturised. The products work well and are gentle on my skin. Lastly I like how easily accessible the brand it, they can be found in many stores at low prices.
