Hello everyone, welcome to today’s skincare video. Today I am showing you my current Night Time Winter Korean skincare routine. During the winter I experience more dry patches, roughness, and dull looking skin; so it is important my skin gets enough nourishment to help it through this harsh season. I have carefully chosen products that focus on hydration, by adding moisture or making it easier keep it in. Following this routine I can get my skin to feel soft, smooth and look alive with a healthy glow despite the cold.
The products I am highlighting: heimish All Clean Balm & ETUDE Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
Cleanser checklist: Cleans effectively, Clears pores & Low pH
I start with the first part of my double cleanse.
Applying the heimish All Clean Balm onto dry skin.
The heimish balm turns into a silky oil cleanser, that spreads across easily gently removing, dirt, dead skin cells, makeup, sunscreen and more; melting everything away while you massage but still protects the natural lipid layer of the skin (skin’s natural oils).
Formulated with citrus herb oils to naturally brighten and nourish the skin.
This balm does contain essential oils for those who are particularly sensitive, please keep this in mind. The balm contains Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) a magic moisturizer and emollient. It regenerates and soothes the skin, protects it from external factors (such as UV rays or wind) and is also rich in antioxidants. There is also Coconut Fruit Extract (Cocos Nucifera Fruit Extract) loaded with sugars, minerals, amino acids.
The balms is vegan, natural, paraben-free and hypoallergenic. It is suitable for use for all skin types including sensitive skin.
At night I always double cleanse. You can use an oil or a balm, they are basically the same the main difference being texture. Balms are in a solid state and need to be massaged between your hands or even directly on your face to turn it liquid. This balm contains a spatula, making it more hygienic because dipping your fingers in can put dirt into the product.
I add a little water to turn the balm milky. And move on to the next part the double cleanse. Which is to go in with a water based cleanser. I don’t wash off my oil cleanser I just apply the foam on top.

I use the NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Fresh Foam Green Tea
The hydrating foam lathers to give a deep none stripping clean leaving skin feeling refreshed and moisturised. With a pH 8 on the neutral side, this cleanser does not remove all the oil protection from your skin like harsh soaps. As for pore care it helps to reduce and remove dead skin cells, cleansing the pores to create a softer and smoother skin. It is also hypoallergenic cleaning without irritating the skin so good for people with sensitive skin.
The cleanser has a calming scent and it contains green tea leaves infused into the product floating at the bottom. The tea leaves keep going onto fermenting and releasing a lot of antioxidants, which help skin to stay healthy. Green tea is a nice ingredient for those with oily skin; it decreases the amount of sebum, while increasing the moisture in the skin by controlling the skin’s oil-moisture balance to prevent oily skin and maintain clean, pure, and balanced skin.
Formulated with 100% natural fruit juice ingredients extracted from fresh fruits it delivers a nonirritating cleanse with a moisturising finish.
Toner checklist: Creates the environment that will maximise skincare
After I dry my face I go in with the COSRX Propolis Synergy Toner
This is an ideal product to prepare the skin and using this daily will transform skin from dull to dewy.
This toner is lightweight and absorbs into the skin effortlessly. There is 72% Black bee Propolis extract and 10% Honey extract to make your skin glowy and smooth. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects; helping to treat acne, calm redness and aids in wound healing preventing scabs and scars. The toner is suitable for all skin types and good for sensitive skin; it is hypoallergenic for those worried about allergic reactions, and free from artificial fragrance and alcohol.
A basic skincare routine can transform your skin and when you use good products you have a great foundation for healthy skin. At night time I follow a 3 step routine using a cleanser, toner, and moisturiser; and when I need to apply my BHA I include that into the steps. My BHA will be in the form of a serum today.
The SOME BY MI – AHA, BHA, PHA 30 Days Miracle Serum is one of my go to’s.
I like to use BHA products at night and this serum makes my skin look and feel like butter, so it is great for exfoliating plus adding an extra layer of hydration.
It is watery and melts into my skin effortlessly, leaving my skin feeling smooth. It does not make skin feel heavy or sticky so it is a good choice for layering. The serum is infused with tea tree leaf water to control excess sebum production and 14.5% Centella extract which is anti-inflammatory, designed to soothe and moisturise while minimising the appearance of pores. There is AHA to slough off dead skin cells, BHA to remove excess sebum, and PHA to retain skin’s moisture; a good balance to exfoliate without irritating the skin.
Moisturiser checklist: Lightweight, Not greasy & Long lasting
To finish the routine I use the ETUDE Soon Jung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream
The Soon Jung cream has been my current go to during this cold season; it is pretty thick in texture, but it glides smoothly across the skin. I feel intensely moisturised and it leaves my skin looking dewy and hydrated lasting all through the night.
The cream is designed to strengthen skin’s resistance with protein barrier. An intense hydrating cream that moisturises and restores the skins oil and water balance. There are calming ingredients that restore and heal damaged and irritated skin.
The cream contains Panthenol that strengthens skin barrier and helps maintain moisture, soothing skin irritations caused by dryness. It also has Madecassoside, which restores and heals damaged skin; calms down irritated skin and helps protect the skin from exterior stimulations.
The Soon Jung formula is mildly acidic to strengthen and prevent your skin from becoming dry. It has a pH 5.5 an ideal level to the pH of healthy skin. The cream is non-comedogenic, so it does not cause breakouts. Hypoallergenic, so no allergy reaction will be caused from it. So this product is suitable for all skins types.
I really like this products packaging; it is smart and convenient. There’s a twist top that opens and closes the dispenser on the cream which makes it a bit more hygienic and prevents it from leaking.
